“As a 67 year old overweight and inflexible male, I felt too cumbersome for floor yoga, but I decided to try chair yoga when it was offered by Angelena Craig through my church. Wow, what a surprise! Not only was it enjoyable and easy to do, but I left every class feeling great. After a couple of sessions, I bought her DVD, and now, if I cannot get to class, I have the same positive experience watching the DVD and doing the program in my living room. “This is an excellent CD for beginners but it’s also a good choice for intermediate students looking for a gentle experience that focuses on breath and sensation. Just enough information and imagery is interjected to provide context for the postures. Directions are clear and concise without being dry. Angelena continually draws the attention back to alignment and awareness and offers alternatives to the more difficult positions. She ends the class with a Savasana experience that leaves you feeling like a contented wet noodle.” |
